Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
• Travel to work sites to perform installation, repair or maintenance work
• Work directly with clients and office staff
• Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instruments
• Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment
• Test mechanical systems to ensure proper functioning
• Install wiring to connect components to an electric power source; connect electrical components or equipment
• Perform building controls installation, start-up, and commissioning
• Braze or solder metal parts or components to repair defective joints and leaks
• Estimate and install materials and supplies needed to maintain equipment in good working condition
• Generate suggestions for improving work and develop innovative approaches and ideas
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of installing equipment or components
• Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions

Requirements:
• Clean Driving Record
• Reliable, friendly, honest, and motivated
• Strong time management and planning skills; able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must be coachable, willing to learn new things, quickly adapt to change, and be flexible

Education and/or Experience:
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Journeyman HVAC/R Technician with LEB License
• CFC/EPA Certification
• Brazing Certification

Journeyman Electrician

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
• Remain well-versed in the current National Electrical Code
• Travel to work sites to perform installation, repair or maintenance work
• Work directly with clients and office staff
• Observe and test system operation using gauges and instruments
• Inspect systems to determine if they are operating properly
• Keep records of repairs and replacements made and causes of malfunctions
• Estimate and install materials and supplies needed to maintain equipment in good working condition
• Install electrical equipment and components for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) equipment
• Generate suggestions for improving work and develop innovative approaches and ideas
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of installing equipment or components
• Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions

Requirements:
• Clean Driving Record
• Reliable, friendly, honest, and motivated
• Strong time management and planning skills; able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must be coachable, willing to learn new things, quickly adapt to change, and be flexible

Education and/or Experience:

Sheet Metal Fabricator/Installer

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
• Travel to work sites to perform installation, repair or maintenance work
• Work directly with clients and office staff
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products
• Apply knowledge of sheet metal processes and fabrication techniques such as: trimming, forming, filing, grinding, deburring, buffing, smoothing surfaces, and fastening using bolts, rivets, screws, clips, or other fasteners to assemble parts
• Inspect assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications and quality standards
• Use manual and powered hand tools such as shears, brakes, presses, Bridgeports, drill presses and forming rolls, to cut, bend, block, drill and form sheet metal
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality; monitor own work to ensure quality
• Meet productivity standards; complete work in timely manner; strive to increase productivity
• Generate suggestions for improving work and develop innovative approaches and ideas
• Work with others to layout project goals and assist in skill development of individuals just entering the trade, by providing detailed instruction and guidance in performance of work activities
• Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly
